Details about the class

Our classes in circus skills are a great way to improve motor skills, balance, coordination, flexibility and strength.

We run a holiday program for youth during every half-term and during the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays.

This course will introduce young people to a range of different circus skills, including acrobatics and aerial disciplines, such as handstands and trapeze, as well as manipulation skills such as hula hoop and juggling.

Students will start the day with games to get comfortable with each other, the space and the equipment, and move on to a comprehensive physical warm up and structured discipline sessions, with a short lunch break in the middle.

A range of disciplines will be offered over the week and will vary from day to day.

Content will be tailored to the level of the students who attend, and all are welcome, from complete beginners, to our current term students, to those who have done some circus skills elsewhere.

These classes are a great way to get an intensive circus introduction, or get some more substantial skill time than is possible during our weekly term-time classes.

Students should wear comfortable clothing which covers most of their skin to avoid injury and bring water and a light packed lunch.

Programs usually run for 4 days per week for up to two weeks. Classes can be booked per day, or you can book for the week with a discount.

Working with The Garage and Big Norfolk Holiday Fun we are excited to present our first SEND holiday arts sessions! Building on our regular circus SEND sessions, our approach is flexible and supportive to the needs of participants. Session will include 3 hours of circus, dance, theatre and visual arts activities, as well as food provided and a circus chill out space. Parents/carers/siblings are welcome to join if they would like, or you can drop off and have time to yourself. Please advise in advance if your child needs 1:1 support so that we can arrange. Please bring ear defenders if your child is noise sensitive as the building is a church and the space is very open. Please inform us in advance if your child is a wheelchair user so that we can best facilitate their access to as many activities as possible.
