The Oak Circus Centre and James Paget University Hospital
Circus, Community & Care: October Half-Term Events
Join us at The Oak to share the results of the research project including the drawings and reflections from local participants who participated. The James Paget research team will be on site during the week, ready to chat, share insights, and connect with our students and wider community.
To mark this collaboration and highlight the powerful links between circus, health, and community, James Paget is teaming up with us to fund two free activity sessions during half-term:
Thursday 30th October — SEND Open Doors Drop-In (2:30–4:30pm)
A relaxed and welcoming session for SEND children and their families. Come along to play, try circus skills, chat with our tutors and research team, or enjoy some quiet drawing time.
No booking required — but please get in touch beforehand if you have specific access needs or would like more details.
Saturday 1st November — Free Halloween Circus Sessions
For children eligible for free school meals or who may not otherwise be able to attend paid classes. Email us if you are unsure of your eligibility.
- Ages 4–7: 10:30–11:30am
- Ages 8+: 11:30am–1:30pm
Spaces are free but limited — book early to secure your spot!
Let’s celebrate creativity, community, and wellbeing — together under the circus roof!
